We have had an exciting and very productive 2009. Our donor arsenal has been fortified with some new, powerful and highly proven cow families that are at the genetic top end of the breed. EF Rita 7287 a Predestined bred heifer daughter with six generations of highly proven growth, carcass, and maternal matriarchs behind her starts working in our ET program in December. Other bred heifers that will enter our ET program in early spring 2010 will be Ogeechee Blackcap 7126, the oldest Predestined daughter of the $1,000,000 plus producer GAR Plowman G240. 7126 had individual scan ratios of IMF 141 and RE 113 and Marb. EPD of +.90 and RE +.51 and is another great source of powerful growth, maternal, and carcass genetics. Also, Hillside Blackcap Pred 546, who is an AMF and NHF daughter of Blackcap 546, a CA Future Direction 5321 daughter out of Southern Blackcap 3686, who is a highly proven direct daughter of A Plus Blackcap 8102. Blackcap 8102 is the highly proven highest $Beef Value daughter of the legendary GAR Scotch Cap 867 Pathfinder® cow. Hillside Blackcap Pred 546 is backed by all those generations of powerful, well-balanced trait leaders of the entire Angus breed. Another ET Donor, Hillside Enchantress Obj 418, an SS Objective T150 OT26 daughter out of Lemmon Enchantress N177 a Pathfinder® and donor cow who is straight bred Bill Rishel (B/R) breeding for eight generations and is linebred to B/R New Design 036. EPD of +.72, all with over 90% accuracy. B/R New Design 036 is one of the greatest bulls to ever sire a calf with many sons and grandsons at the very top of the Angus breed including GAR Predestined, the No. 1 $Beef bull in the breed for several years, Bon View New Design 1407 and Bon View New Design 878 who lead registrations in the Angus breed for five years in a row. Hillside Enchantress was successfully flushed as a heifer and will go back into our ET program in late spring 2010 after calving.
