The Hillside Georgina Family started in 1984 when we flushed our first cow with Bill Hodge, then manager of the well-known performance-tested Irvington Farms herd in Georgia. Hillside Georgina 52 was a blending of Shoshone, Graham and Wye breeding, 3 of the most performance-tested cow herds in the country. Since that breeding we have added linebred Rito breeding through Rito 9J9 of B156 7T26 and Tehama Bando 155, and the linebreeding of Ken Caryl Mr Angus 8017 whose progeny have proven to be outstanding carcass cattle and whose daughters have outstanding udder attachment and strength.
Hillside Georgina Bando 598 is a Pathfinder® Cow backed by six generations of high-performance females with exceptional fertility, tremendous weaning and yearling records and beautiful phenotype. Hillside Georgina Bando 598 is a powerful female with lots of capacity, easy fleshing, has abundant milk, a picture-perfect udder attachment and teats, is an excellent embryo producer, and has beautiful phenotype. She has produced 7 natural calves with a birth weight ratio of 7 at 101, weaning 7 at 104, yearling 5 at 103 and a calving interval of 7 at 356 days. All this while becoming a donor cow at age six. She has 20 progeny scans at 104 for IMF. Hillside Georgina Bando 598 has produced daughters by B/R New Design 036, GDAR SVF Traveler 234D, McCumber 124 Traveler 212, BCC Bushwacker 41-93 and Bon View New Design 1407. She is currently nursing a bull calf born 10-8-05 by B/R New Design 036 and will be bred to BR Midland for 2006 as her daughter Hillside Georgina ND 6475 takes her place in our embryo program in 2006. Hillside Georgina Bando 598's daughter, Hillside Georgina ND 6475, entered our donor herd in October 2005 and was awarded the Pathfinder® award on March 8, 2006, making her a Second Generation Pathfinder® Cow and donor! Hillside Georgina Bando 598 is bred to G A R Predestined and due 10-12-07.
