RAF Juniatti 753, dam of Hillside Dividend 47, was purchased as a bred heifer in 1990 from the performance-tested Rasco Farms herd in Alabama. She became a Pathfinder® Cow in 1994. RAF Juniatti 753 contained heavy Wye breeding and traced back to Schearbrook Shoshone on her maternal side. We bred Juniatti 753 to TC Dividend 963 to add linebreeding Rito blood and some additional Schearbrook Shoshone blood and created Hillside Dividend 47 who became a Second Generation Pathfinder® Cow and Donor for Hillside Angus Farm. Hillside Dividend 47 is easy fleshing, very fertile, heavy milking and, at 11 years of age, still has a picture-perfect udder structure with strong attachment and perfect teats. She has a great production record with a birth weight ratio of 4 at 101, weaning 4 at 106, yearling 4 at 106; and 3 natural calves at a 361-day calving interval. Hillside Dividend 47 has scans of IMF 10 at 103, Ribeye 9 at 102, Fat 10 at 93, and Rump Fat 10 at 96. Hillside Dividend 47 has 3 daughters in production who average; birth weight ratio 8 at 101, weaning 8 at 104, yearling 6 at 100 with a calving interval of 8 at 355 days and with scans; IMF 7 at 104; Ribeye 7 at 102, Fat 7 at 89, and Rump Fat 7 at 95. This cow family is doing a lot of things right and Passing It On To Their Progeny!
Hillside Dividend 47’s daughter Hillside Juniatti ND 548, sired by B/R New Design 036, was granted the Pathfinder® award on March 8, 2006, which makes her a Third Generation Pathfinder® Cow. Hillside Juniatti ND 548 has followed her mother into the Hillside Angus Farm Donor herd this fall. Her first flush to BR Midland on 12-7-05 produced 10 grade No. 1 embryos. Her second flush to CA Future Direction 5321 on 1-20-06 produced 10 grade No. 1 embryos.
We regret to report that #Hillside Dividend 47 passed away May 2007.
